Supports a Wide Temperature Range

Operating temperature range: -20°C to 60°C

Conventional AC/DC Power Adapter are generally guaranteed to operate within a temperature range of 0 to 40°C, which is widely known. However, for communication devices, security cameras, and industrial equipment, even when installed indoors, the temperature range can easily be exceeded if the installation site is exposed to direct sunlight or used in extremely cold regions. Our wide temperature range AC/DC Power Adapter guarantee operation in a broad temperature range from -20°C to 60°C, making them suitable for such demands as a matching Products.

Peak Load Support

Ideal for motor drives, supports peak loads of approximately 2x for up to 11 seconds

This power supply is ideal for devices where the load fluctuates during operation or where a higher current than the "rated" current is required at startup, such as DC motors.
We offer a lineup ranging from models that support peak loads for 1 second up to models supporting up to 11 seconds, making these AC/DC Power Adapter highly effective in situations where output current exceeding the rated output is required for a certain period of time.
There is no need to select a larger power supply than usual to match peak capacity, enabling downsizing and cost reduction at the selection stage. PSE certification has also been obtained.

Waterproof Support

IP65/IP67, ideal for use in wet environments

This Products complies with IP65 as a standard specification. By applying potting (internal resin filling), it can support a higher protection rating of IP67. As this is an AC adapter, complete outdoor use is not recommended; however, it is ideal for semi-outdoor locations or installations exposed to water, such as residential equipment and security cameras.

Lightning Surge Protection

Supports lightning surges up to 10KV

Standard AC/DC Power Adapter typically guarantee IEC61000-4-5 Level 2 and 3 protection against lightning surges. However, upon customer request, we also provide support for lightning surges up to 10KV or higher. Industrial equipment cannot be stopped due to lightning surges.
We work closely together with our customers on custom lightning surge protection solutions, including confirmation of secondary grounding conditions, identification of surge intrusion paths, and implementation of countermeasures.

Long Life Design

Products expected service life can be adjusted

For all Productss, we can review and modify the specifications of electrolytic capacitors according to customer requirements to achieve longer service life.
For example, if there is a requirement of 10-year lifespan under conditions of 70% rated load, continuous 24-hour operation, and ambient temperature of 40℃, we can study whether adjustments are possible within the capabilities of the applicable model. Since the board space of the Products is limited, there are certain constraints, but this service has been well received.

For a newly designed sensing device, although the device itself supported an operating temperature range of -20°C~60°C, the AC adapter scheduled for use only supported 0~40°C. We had almost given up and thought we would have to limit the Products operating temperature specification to 0~40°C. At that time, UNIFIVE proposed a wide temperature range model, and we decided to consider adopting it. Not only did it meet the -20°C~60°C specification, but further modifications were made, and the lifespan was adjusted to a 10-year guarantee. Thanks to this, we were able to release our Products with confidence.

We were troubled by surge intrusion

The adapter used in our building security system was being damaged and returned from the market at a certain frequency due to surge intrusion, which was a major issue. Since it is a security device, if the adapter stops working, entrances may not unlock, causing inconvenience to customers.
