The UOHC 240W Series (UOHC3240) is an AC-DC switching power supply for embedded industrial equipment (open-frame / board-type power supply). In addition to a rated output of 240W class, it supports conditional peak output (up to 480W) assuming load fluctuations, making it useful for organizing power requirements considering startup and inrush loads.
It also consolidates key conditions required for mass production design, such as PFC (power factor), inrush current limiting, various protection circuits, emission/immunity items, and operating altitude (up to 5,000m), making it easier to verify adoption requirements based on specifications.
| UNIFIVE is chosen because: As a power supply manufacturer with over 35 years of development experience, we provide comprehensive support from specification review for mass production adoption to certification acquisition, mass production launch, and post-production follow-up. Based on standard products, we offer flexible supply from small-lot prototyping and evaluation to small- and medium-scale production, as well as large-volume manufacturing. We also support semi-custom solutions and assist with power supply selection from the specification review stage for mass production adoption. |
Key Features
1) 240W Class × Compact Design (Chassis / Cover Options)
In addition to the board-only type, configurations with chassis and cover are available, allowing selection according to enclosure mounting and protection requirements.
2) Technical Standards / Protection Circuits (Remote Control / 5V Standby Options)
Safety standards vary depending on the model (please contact us for details). Protection circuits include short-circuit protection / overvoltage protection / overcurrent protection / overtemperature protection, as well as Brown-in / Brown-out protection.
In addition, configurations such as remote ON/OFF and internal standby power (5V / 1A) can be selected according to equipment-side control requirements.
3) Supports Peak Output (Conditional Up to 480W)
Peak load conditions are defined, enabling use for organizing power requirements assuming short-term load fluctuations, such as peak 480W (10 seconds, Duty < 0.5).
4) Efficiency / PFC (Power Factor) / Harmonics (IEC61000-3-2) Compliance
With efficiency of up to 89% (specification value), and compliance with PFC (power factor) and harmonics (IEC61000-3-2), this configuration facilitates organizing input-side requirements.
5) EMC (Emission)
Compliant with FCC Part15-B / Part18-B, EN(CISPR)55032-B / 55011-B / 55014-B, VCCI-B, etc. (metal enclosure required).
6) Immunity
Based on the requirements of EN55035 / EN60601-1-2 / EN55014-2, it complies with EN61000-4-2 / -3 / -4 / -5 / -6 / -8 / -11 immunity standards.
Effective Use Cases
- When short-term load fluctuations such as startup and inrush loads exist and power requirements need to be organized based on peak output conditions
- When proceeding with equipment design after clarifying input-side conditions including PFC (power factor) / harmonics (IEC61000-3-2)
- When finalizing adoption conditions considering upstream power supply and breaker conditions, including inrush current limiting
- When simplifying equipment-side control and standby power using remote ON/OFF and 5V standby (1A)
- When organizing protection requirements including Brown-in / Brown-out and reducing operational risk considering input fluctuations
- When determining suitability based on installation environment conditions such as operating altitude (up to 5,000m)
Applications
Widely applicable as an embedded power supply for industrial equipment.
- Industrial equipment / control devices
- Information and communication equipment / peripherals
- Various devices requiring built-in power supplies, etc.
