Examples of DC plug support
The connector specifications on our equipment side, installation environment, required current, and vibration conditions. The requirements for DC plugs vary depending on each customer's equipment. For over 35 years, we have selected and proposed DC plugs together with AC/DC Power Adapter. In addition to more than 300 types in our standard lineup, we provide flexible solutions not shown in catalogs, such as cross-manufacturer component selection, support for special shapes, and combinations of multiple connectors. On this page, we introduce six representative examples from past customer inquiries. Consultations such as "The plugs in the catalog do not meet our requirements" or "Other companies refused to handle this" are exactly where our strengths lie.

Our Three Strengths in Supporting DC Plugs
1. Optimal Selection Across Multiple Manufacturers
We are not bound to any specific plug manufacturer and handle Products from major domestic and international manufacturers. From global brands such as Switchcraft, Molex, and Phoenix Contact to domestic manufacturers, we select the most suitable components to meet our customers' equipment requirements.
Furthermore, we also accommodate customer-supplied components, such as requests like, "We will supply this plug, so please handle the cable assembly as well." Whether we procure the components or assemble customer-supplied parts, we respond flexibly to both scenarios -- this is our basic policy. We never ask customers to accept component restrictions for our own convenience.
2. Flexible Support for Small Lots and Special Requirements
We have received many inquiries such as, "We were turned down because the lot size was too small," or "It was a special plug, so mass-production manufacturers would not handle it." We support transactions from the prototype and small-lot production stages and provide long-term partnership with a view toward transitioning to mass production.
3. Optimization as a Set with Cables
Selecting a DC plug is only complete when combined with the cable. For high-current applications, cable wire gauge; for long-distance wiring, voltage drop calculations; for outdoor use, weather resistance of the cable jacket -- we have accumulated expertise to optimize not just the plug alone, but the entire system.
DC Plug Compatibility Cases
Case 1: Switchcraft plug
We received a request to select a plug compatible with a large current of 10A, and provided a Switchcraft S1017 plug and 1185#16 cable. |
Case 2: Screw-type DC plug
We received requests for a DC plug that does not come loose, so we provided a screw-type plug. We can also accommodate lock-type DC plugs. |
Case 3: Fork type (tuning fork type) DC plug
In response to customer requests to use fork-type DC plugs to improve contact with equipment, we have made them available. |
Case 4: Specification of plug part number
We sometimes receive specified DC plug part numbers from customers. We proposed cables compatible with the specified plug part numbers (Molex and Phoenix). |
Case 5: Connector for Open-Frame Power Supply
We also accommodate requests to add connectors to open-frame power supply boards. |
Case 6: Handling Special Plugs
We also accommodated the customer's request that two connectors were required to connect to a certain device. |
