Introduction of Unifive's PD Products
USB PD is a new power delivery standard that offers higher-level transmission functionality via USB-C.
Until now, various mobile devices such as laptops and smartphones have adopted different charging interfaces, which means that commercially available chargers are not compatible with each manufacturer's products, leading to issues such as device obsolescence, waste, and environmental problems.
| Therefore, the USB-IF Association has worked diligently to promote Power Delivery (PD) charging using USB as the framework. The most well-known products adopting the USB PD protocol and USB Type-C charging interface include the Macbook 12-inch and Zenbook 3. USB Power Delivery not only provides charging speeds of up to 100W but also shortens charging time. With more flexible transmission features, it supports smartphones, digital cameras, mobile devices, external storage peripherals, laptops, all-in-one PCs, displays, etc., enabling charging and data transmission with a single cable. |
GaN Design
| Gallium Nitride (GaN) power components are next-generation semiconductor materials. GaN, as one of the third-generation semiconductor materials, offers advantages such as smaller size, lighter weight, lower heat generation, and higher output compared to traditional silicon-based chargers. It is also expected to be a benchmark for future high-efficiency charger development. The USB PD charger developed by Unifive uses a new semiconductor, GaN, and supports the latest standards such as PD3.0 and QC4+. Compared to general notebook travel chargers, it is miniaturized by about 50%. It is portable enough to carry in your pocket, whether for daily use or travel. | |
High-Precision Design
Unifive adopts high-precision R.C.L components and adds cutting-edge circuit chips to achieve high-performance and highly stable voltage output. It also protects multiple circuits simultaneously. Multi-ProtectionUSB PD circuits feature multi-protection functions to ensure safer power supply. (Overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, overheating protection, short-circuit protection, power limiting, EMC measures, etc.) |
