Introduction of Unifive's PD Products
USB PD is a new standard for power delivery and offers advanced transmission capabilities through USB-C.
Previously, various mobile devices such as laptops and smartphones adopted different charging interfaces, making commercially available chargers incompatible with different manufacturers’ products. This caused issues of waste and environmental impact due to device obsolescence.
| Therefore, the USB-IF Association has been actively promoting the adoption of Power Delivery (PD) charging based on the USB framework. The most well-known products adopting the USB PD protocol and USB Type-C charging interface include the 12-inch MacBook and Zenbook 3. USB Power Delivery not only supports charging speeds of up to 100W but also reduces charging time. Its flexible transmission capabilities support smartphones, digital cameras, mobile devices, external storage peripherals, laptops, all-in-one PCs, displays, etc., enabling charging and data transmission with a single cable. |
GaN Design
| Gallium Nitride (GaN) power components are a cutting-edge semiconductor material. As a third-generation semiconductor material, GaN has advantages over traditional silicon-based chargers, including compact size, lightweight, lower heat generation, and high output—setting the benchmark for the development of high-efficiency chargers in the future. The USB PD chargers developed by Unifive adopt this new semiconductor, GaN, and comply with the latest standards such as PD 3.0 and QC 4+. Compared to conventional travel chargers for laptops, they are approximately 50% smaller. Whether for daily use or travel, they can easily be carried in your pocket. | |
High-Precision Design
Unifive uses high-precision R.C.L components combined with advanced circuit chips to provide a high-performance and highly stable voltage output. Multiple circuits are simultaneously protected. Multi-ProtectionUSB PD circuits feature multi-protection functionality to ensure safer power delivery (overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, overheat protection, short-circuit protection, power limitation, EMC countermeasures, etc). |
