What is the European Union Directive and CE Mark

The European Union Directive (CE Mark) is a mark that certifies that products distributed and sold within the EEA (European Economic Area) meet the standards that protect the health, safety, and environment of people within the region. Displaying the mark is mandatory.

European Union Directive (CE Mark)

The “CE” in CE Mark stands for the French words (Conformité Européenne). After the launch of the European single market in 1993, the EC Directive was issued to remove tariff barriers within the regional market and to further stimulate economic activity. The CE Mark certifies that the product conforms to the EC Directive and is safe for use within the region.
