AC adapter for lithium battery charging
Customer demand for AC adapters for "charging purposes" has been increasing. For example, various products such as cordless-compatible cleaners are being equipped with charging functions due to the trend toward cordless designs. In line with these charging functions, there has been a growing demand to change the power supply method from the traditional constant voltage (CV) type to a constant current and constant voltage (CC-CV) type. At Unifive, we are now able to accommodate such requests by designing products, including the ones listed below, that comply with IEC60335-1 and IEC60335-2-29 standards.

- CC+CV performance enables optimal charging for rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
- Usable within an ambient temperature range of -10°C to 40°C.
- Compatible with cyclone vacuum cleaners, meets IEC61000-4-2 ESD standards.
- Ensures ability to handle air discharge ±20kV / contact discharge ±10kV or higher.
- Wire and plug selections made with considerations for wire breakage and sheath damage.
- Supports “C plug” and “BF plug” for use both domestically in Japan and overseas.
- PCB: CTI value 600V / housing material selected with safety in mind such as flammability rating 94V-0.
- Tracking resistance testing: Compliant with JWDS0028_LEVEL2.
- Designed in accordance with IEC60335-1 / 60335-2-29 standards for battery charging.
