What is the CB Scheme?
CB stands for Certification Body, and it is operated by the IECEE (IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components). The standards of this scheme are international standards defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). |
|
The CB Scheme is a system based on the concept of "One product, One test, One mark," in which safety test results for electrical and electronic products in accordance with IEC standards are accepted among testing bodies in member countries.
This system was established to create compatibility between international standards and the standards certified by each member country's national certification bodies (such as NCBs). Testing organizations conducting domestic certification in member countries are referred to as NCBs (National Certification Bodies).
The main member countries that can use the CB Scheme are as follows:
North America, Central and South America | United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil |
|---|---|
| Europe | United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, Netherlands |
| Asia | Japan, China, South Korea, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia |
