What is the CB Scheme?
CB stands for Certification Body and is operated by the IECEE (IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components). The standards of this scheme are internationally standardized by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). |
|
The CB Scheme is a system based on the concept of "One product, One test, One mark", which allows the acceptance of safety test results for electrical and electronic equipment among testing laboratories in member countries based on IEC standards.
This system was established to provide compatibility between international standards and the national certification schemes (such as NCBs) of member countries. The testing bodies that conduct domestic certification schemes in member countries are referred to as NCBs (National Certification Bodies).
The main member countries that can use the CB Scheme are as follows:
North America / Central & South America | United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil |
|---|---|
| Europe | United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, Netherlands |
| Asia | Japan, China, South Korea, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia |
