What is the CB Scheme

CB stands for Certification Body and is operated by the IECEE (IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical Equipment and Components). The standards for this scheme are globally established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). |

The CB Scheme is a system based on the concept of “One product, One test, One mark”, which allows testing results of electrical and electronic product safety based on IEC standards to be accepted by testing laboratories within member countries.
This system was established to enable harmonization between international standards and the standards certified by each member country's certification systems (such as NCBs). The testing organizations that perform domestic certification in member countries are called NCBs (National Certification Bodies).
