What is the CB Scheme?
CB stands for Certification Body and is operated by the IECEE (IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components). The standards of this scheme are internationally unified standards established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). |
|
The CB Scheme is based on the concept of "One product, One test, One mark" and is a system under which safety test results for electrical and electronic Products based on IEC standards are accepted by testing organizations in member countries.
This system was established to provide commonality between international standards and the standards certified by each member country (such as NCBs). Testing organizations that conduct national certification schemes in member countries are called NCBs (National Certification Bodies).
The main member countries that can use the CB Scheme are as follows.
