About the flame retardant grade of the AC adapter housing

The selection of flame resistance grade is an extremely important factor in the enclosure of AC adapters, which require safety and durability. This is because the flame resistance grade reduces the risk of ignition and the danger of fire spreading in the event of an accident. In this article, we introduce our measures to ensure the safety of AC adapter enclosure materials and improve the reliability of our products.

Our Measures

For the enclosures of our AC adapters, we use PC (polycarbonate) material from the perspective of safety. PC material is widely used for its impact resistance and transparency, and it demonstrates excellent performance especially as an enclosure material for electronic devices. The PC material we have selected is classified as V-0 under UL94 due to its excellent flame resistance. This enables us to provide products that offer safety and reliability to our customers. Additionally, UL VW-1 cables are used for the wiring.

By maintaining this flame resistance grade, quick self-extinguishing is expected in case of an accident, significantly reducing the risk of fire. We will continue to prioritize customer safety and strive to improve the quality and safety of our products.
