When it comes to the enclosures of AC/DC Power Adapter, where safety and durability are required, selecting the appropriate flame retardancy grade is an extremely important factor. This is because the flame retardancy grade reduces the risk of ignition and minimizes the danger of fire spreading in the unlikely event of a fire. In this article, we introduce our initiatives to ensure the safety of enclosure materials used in AC/DC Power Adapter and to enhance the reliability of our Products.

Our Initiatives

The enclosures of our AC/DC Power Adapter are made of PC (polycarbonate) material from a safety perspective. PC material is widely used due to its excellent impact resistance and transparency, and it demonstrates outstanding performance particularly as a housing material for electronic devices. The PC material we select is classified as UL94 V-0 due to its superior flame retardancy. This enables us to provide our customers with safe and reliable Products. In addition, we use UL VW-1 rated cables.

By maintaining this flame retardancy grade, rapid self-extinguishing can be expected even in the unlikely event of an accident, significantly reducing the risk of fire. We will continue to prioritize customer safety and strive to further improve the quality and safety of our Products.
