Alarm latch

An alarm latch is a function that retains the alarm history even after an abnormal condition has been resolved when an alert indicating an abnormality in equipment such as an alarm occurs. Some systems retain the alarm even if the power is shut off by a safety device after the alarm is triggered, which is helpful for investigating the cause. The alarm latch function is often applied to serious alarms that require human safety checks.
