Alarm latch

An alarm latch is a function that retains the alarm history even after the abnormal condition has been cleared when an alarm indicating equipment abnormality occurs, helping with cause investigation. Some systems retain the alarm even if the power is cut off by a safety device after the alarm occurs, which is useful for investigating the cause. The alarm latch function is often applied to critical alarms that require human safety confirmation.
