Impulse test

This is a shock test to determine whether electric and electronic devices meet standards for resistance against temporary high voltage and similar stresses. The test evaluates whether a device continues to operate normally without failure after applying high-voltage waveforms or high-frequency waveforms—greater than normal operating voltage—for a specified duration. It is mainly conducted during pre-use inspections (factory inspections) of electric and electronic equipment.
