Impulse test

A surge test to determine whether electrical and electronic devices meet standards for resistance to temporary high voltages. The test evaluates the device's resistance to electrical surges by checking whether it continues to function normally without failure, even after being subjected to waveforms with higher voltage than normal operating levels (commercial voltage) or high-frequency waveforms for a specified duration. It is mainly conducted as a pre-use inspection (factory test) for electrical and electronic equipment.
