A coil made by winding an electric wire. It is one of the basic and important components that make up switching circuits. It is used to obtain inductance. By allowing current to flow, it can store energy in the form of magnetism. Utilizing its function of converting electricity into magnetism, it is also used as an important component of transformers that convert AC voltage.
