Open-frame power supply
A power supply designed to be built into a device enclosure. Since it does not have an external protective frame and its components are exposed, care must be taken when transporting and handling it. Many are board-mounted types, and there are various types and shapes, such as AC-AC power supplies and AC-DC power supplies, depending on the application. Some models can output 2 or more types of voltage to support multiple loads. Compared to units in which the power supply is integrated with other equipment, it has the advantage that in the event of a failure, the system can be restored relatively easily by replacing only the power supply unit.
