Open frame power supply

A power supply designed to be installed inside the enclosure of equipment. Since it lacks a protective outer frame and its components are exposed, it requires careful handling and transport. Most are board-type, with various types and shapes available depending on the application, including AC-AC and AC-DC power supplies. Some can output two or more types of voltage to support multiple loads. Compared to integrated power supplies in other devices, one advantage is that if a failure occurs, only the power supply unit can be replaced, allowing for relatively easy recovery.
