Primary circuit

In a power supply circuit, this refers to the circuit on the power supply side in a section that is insulated and not electrically directly connected via a transformer or similar device. If an uninterruptible power supply or a battery is connected, it refers to the circuit that supplies power to the battery. Even if the circuit is not insulated, the power supply side may be referred to as the primary circuit.
