Primary circuit

In a power supply circuit, this refers to the circuit on the power supply side in parts that are electrically isolated and not directly connected via components such as a transformer. When an uninterruptible power supply or battery is connected, it refers to the circuit supplying power to the battery. Even if the circuit is not isolated, the power supply side may still be referred to as the primary circuit.
