EMI
Refers to electromagnetic interference. It means that electromagnetic waves emitted from electrical/electronic equipment or communication devices adversely affect the operation of other electrical/electronic equipment or communication devices, causing malfunctions and other issues. Conversely, when electrical/electronic equipment or communication devices are affected in their operation by surrounding electromagnetic waves, it is called EMS (Electromagnetic Susceptibility). EMI countermeasures are important in the design and manufacture of electrical/electronic equipment.
