EIAJ (Japan Electronic Industries Association) standard

A standard established by the Japan Electronic Industry Development Association (EIAJ) before its name change. EIAJ was an organization joined by electronic equipment and component manufacturers, and in 2000 it merged with the Japan Electronic Industry Development Association (JEADA) and changed its name to the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA). Following the merger, EIAJ standards were integrated into JEITA standards, but the name EIAJ standard still remains in part of the standard names today.
