EIAJ (Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association) standard

A standard previously defined by the Electronic Industries Association of Japan (EIAJ) before the name change. EIAJ was an organization consisting of electronic equipment and component manufacturers, and in 2000 it merged with the Japan Electronic Industry Development Association (JEADA) to become the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA). Following the merger, EIAJ standards were integrated into JEITA standards, but the EIAJ designation still remains in part of the standard names.
