EIAJ (Japan Electronic Industry Development Association)
The Japan Electronic Industry Development Association (JEADA) was established in 2000 through the merger of two industry organizations. It refers to one of the two pre-merger organizations, the Japan Electronic Machinery Industry Association. Based on the Provisional Measures Law for the Promotion of the Electronic Industry, enacted in 1957 to promote electronic industry development, the association was founded the following year, in 1957. Its members were electronic equipment and component manufacturers that established EIAJ standards.
