EIAJ (Japan Electronic Industries Association)

The Japan Electronic Industry Development Association (JEADA) was established in 2000 through the merger of two industry organizations; this refers to the Japan Electronic Industries Association, one of the two organizations prior to the merger. It was established in 1957 under the Temporary Measures Law for the Promotion of the Electronics Industry, which was enacted to promote the electronics industry. Its members were electronics equipment and component manufacturers, and it defined EIAJ standards.
