Apparent power
One of the values representing alternating current power, it is expressed as the product of voltage (RMS), current (RMS), active power, and reactive power. It represents the total of active and reactive power, and the unit is volt-ampere (VA). Since it can be calculated if voltage and current are known without considering power factor, it is sometimes used as an approximate indicator of power consumption. When displaying the performance, such as output or capacity of electrical and electronic equipment, this apparent power is often used.
