Battery charger
A device that charges a storage battery. It applies a specified voltage to a discharged battery and supplies a charging current to generate a chemical reaction opposite to that of discharging, thereby recharging the battery. The charge level is measured based on the terminal voltage to prevent overcharging. In recent years, due to technological innovations in storage batteries, advanced battery management systems have been developed that provide not only charging functions but also performance maintenance functions, lifespan optimization functions, and protection and safety assurance functions.
