Blind mate

Blind mate refers to a concept in the mechanical design of power supplies, where a mechanism connects with a mating connector when slid into a designated position and properly secured. This is commonly seen in hot-swappable or warm-swappable power supplies or modules for parallel/redundant applications. In such types of connections, there is often a short pin called the "last mate," which activates the power supply and serves to prevent arcing or power delivery until the connection is firmly secured.
