Storage temperature range

The range of minimum and maximum temperatures at which electrical and electronic equipment can be stored for long periods without being energized (operated), without causing failure or performance degradation. This range is usually wider than the operating temperature range. In cases where the temperature is within the storage temperature range but outside the operating temperature range, there is no risk of failure or degradation if the device is not powered, but there is a risk of failure or degradation if it is powered.
