Converter type
A device that converts electric power. Conversion methods include converting from AC to DC (rectifier) or the reverse (inverter), as well as converting the voltage level of DC (DC-DC converter) and converting the frequency of voltage (AC-AC converter). AC-AC converters are widely known for applications such as motor control and 50Hz-60Hz conversion. DC-DC converters are attracting attention as a method for charging storage batteries from solar power generation with low loss.
