High-frequency noise

Harmonics with higher frequency components are called high frequencies and can adversely affect equipment as noise. High-frequency noise has high frequencies and therefore possesses the characteristics of electromagnetic waves. As a result, it not only travels through power cables but can also propagate through space as radiated noise, potentially causing adverse effects on nearby equipment that is not connected by cables.
