Overreaction
In a power supply circuit, when the input is turned on or off, or when the input voltage or the output current changes abruptly, the behavior of the output voltage from the start of its change until it settles to a certain value or AC waveform is referred to as the transient response. It is often represented by a graph with voltage on the vertical axis and time on the horizontal axis. The transient response is determined by the RLC components in the circuit.
