Mylar capacitor
A type of film capacitor that uses polyethylene as the dielectric. It features high insulation and low dielectric loss. Because capacitance varies little with temperature or voltage, it is widely used in applications requiring high fidelity, such as audio equipment and timer IC circuits. However, since its high-frequency characteristics are not very good, it is not suitable for circuits that use high frequencies, such as those in televisions and radios.
