Mylar capacitor

A type of film capacitor that uses polyethylene as the dielectric material. It is characterized by high insulation and low dielectric loss. Because its capacitance is less affected by temperature and voltage changes, it is widely used in areas requiring high fidelity, such as audio equipment and timer IC circuits. Due to its poor high-frequency characteristics, it is not suitable for circuits that operate at high frequencies, such as those in televisions and radios.
