Mylar capacitor

A type of film capacitor that uses polyethylene as the dielectric. It is characterized by high insulation and low dielectric loss. Since there is little variation in capacitance due to temperature or voltage, it is widely used in parts requiring high fidelity, such as audio equipment and timer IC circuits. However, due to poor high-frequency characteristics, it is not suitable for circuits that use high frequencies, such as televisions and radios.
