Winding

Magnet wire used for winding around the core of transformers and choke coils. Since the windings are in close contact with each other, they are insulated to prevent short circuits. In switching power supplies, polyurethane copper wire, which is copper wire coated with polyurethane resin, is generally used. The main standards related to polyurethane wire include JIS standards, UL standards, ANSI standards, and NEMA standards.
