A terminal to which no wiring is connected. Electrical and electronic components often have terminals arranged for multiple purposes. Since terminals are used differently depending on the application, not all terminals are used, and some remain unconnected. For example, in the case of a switch with "A contact" and "B contact," if it is used with the "A contact," the unused "B contact" terminal becomes NC (no connection).
