A terminal that is not connected by wiring. Electrical and electronic components often have terminals arranged for multiple purposes. Since terminals are used differently depending on the purpose, not all terminals are used, resulting in some being unconnected. For example, in a switch with "A contact" and "B contact," when using the "A contact," the unused "B contact" terminal becomes NC (no connection).
