Input current

In power supply circuits and similar systems, this refers to the line current that is input to the input terminal. The input current is determined by the circuit impedance, which is a fixed value, and the load impedance, which is a variable value. The smaller the load impedance, the larger the input current becomes. In many cases, when the input current increases, the output current also increases proportionally.
