Secondary circuit

In a power supply circuit, this refers to the load-side circuit that is insulated via a transformer or similar device and is not electrically connected directly. When an uninterruptible power supply or battery is connected, it refers to the circuit supplied by the battery during a power outage. Even if the circuit is not insulated, the load side may still be referred to as the secondary circuit.
