Impact test

A test that applies shock to electrical and electronic equipment. It is often conducted at the factory as a pre-use inspection. Drop tests and vibration tests are performed to evaluate whether the equipment can withstand shocks expected during transportation or use and continue operating normally. The magnitude of the applied shock is often set slightly higher than the expected shock to ensure safety.
