impact test

A test that applies shock to electrical and electronic devices. It is often conducted in factories as a pre-use inspection. Tests such as drop tests and vibration tests evaluate whether the device can withstand shocks expected during transport or use and continue to operate normally. The magnitude of the applied shock is often made slightly greater than the expected shock for safety reasons.
