Natural air cooling

A cooling method that does not use external power sources such as fans to dissipate heat generated by electrical and electronic equipment. Heat is released through natural air convection, radiation, and thermal conduction. Methods to enhance natural cooling include installing a heat sink for natural cooling to increase the surface area of the cooling surface and to facilitate convection. If natural cooling is insufficient to dissipate heat, forced cooling using devices such as fans is employed.
