Output short-circuit

Short-circuiting the output terminals of the power circuit with a low-resistance conductor such as a jumper wire. During installation or inspection, an accidental short circuit or water ingress may cause a short circuit, and a large output current may flow, leading to malfunction. As a preventive measure, one method is to add a protection function that stops (or limits) the input voltage or output current when an output short circuit is detected.
