Sequence

In the operation of electrical and electronic equipment, controlling switches and relays in combination to perform predetermined actions is also called sequence control. Sequence control is an open-loop control in which the result does not affect the cause as an input. In contrast to feedback control, which is a closed-loop control that corrects errors by feeding the result back to the input, a sequence control circuit does not have a function to correct the result.
