Snubber circuit

In switching power supply circuits, a snubber circuit is used to suppress noise such as ringing by absorbing it. There are RC snubber circuits composed of a resistor and a capacitor, as well as RCD snubber circuits that include a diode. While snubber circuits have the advantage of suppressing noise, they also have the disadvantage of increasing circuit losses and reducing efficiency. Therefore, snubber circuits must be designed to minimize losses while suppressing noise.
