Soft start

A function to suppress inrush current that exceeds the rated level due to charging current of capacitors during the startup of power circuits or loads. One method is to insert a thermistor, which has higher resistance at lower temperatures, into the circuit. By using a thermistor, the output voltage at startup is gradually increased from a low level to the final value, thereby protecting the equipment from inrush current.
