Soft start

A function to suppress inrush current that exceeds the rated value due to charging current of capacitors or other causes during the startup of power circuits or loads. One method is to insert a thermistor that has higher resistance at low temperatures into the circuit. By gradually increasing the output voltage from a low state to the final value using components such as thermistors at startup, devices are protected from inrush current.
