Spike noise

In switching power supply circuits, this refers to minute pulse-width noise generated by rapid changes in current caused by high-frequency switching operations. Countermeasures against spike noise include installing a filter at the output section, using a closed magnetic type coil, and inserting a ferrite bead in series with a Schottky diode.
