Thermistor
A resistor whose resistance value changes with changes in temperature. Utilizing this property, it is often used as a temperature sensor, and is also used as a current protection device for overcurrent prevention. The NTC thermistor, whose resistance gradually decreases as temperature rises, is the most widely used. There are also PTC thermistors, whose resistance increases rapidly above a certain temperature, and CTR thermistors, whose resistance conversely decreases rapidly.
