Thermistor

A resistor whose resistance value changes with temperature variations. By utilizing this characteristic, it is often used as a temperature sensor, and also as a current protection device for overcurrent prevention. The NTC thermistor, whose resistance gradually decreases as temperature rises, is the most widely used type. In addition, there are PTC thermistors, whose resistance increases sharply above a certain temperature, and CTR thermistors, whose resistance conversely decreases sharply.
