Thermistor

A resistor whose resistance changes with temperature variation. It is often used as a temperature sensor by taking advantage of this property, and also as a current protection device to prevent overcurrent. The NTC thermistor, which gradually decreases in resistance as temperature rises, is the most widely and commonly used. In addition, there are PTC thermistors, which sharply increase resistance above a certain temperature, and CTR thermistors, which conversely sharply decrease resistance.
