SELV

SELV stands for Safety Extra Low Voltage and refers to a safe extra-low voltage. It is a term used by safety standards organizations such as CENELEC, IEC, and UL to indicate the maximum voltage level that can be touched without causing injury, including under single fault conditions. It is typically defined as a maximum of 60V or 42.4Vpk, and if it exceeds 60V, protective measures are required.
