Rated output

In power circuits and similar contexts, this refers to the output value under specified conditions (rated values) such as input voltage and load current. It is usually indicated in terms of power and expressed as either active power (W) or apparent power (VA). In many cases, it is used as a value representing the maximum power consumption of a load that can be connected to the power circuit. In such cases, the load must be used within the range that does not exceed the rated output.
