Rated

In power supply equipment, this refers to the range of input or output conditions under which normal operation can be maintained without failure. For input, allowable ranges are often defined around specified values, such as a rated input voltage of 100V±10% or a rated input frequency of 50Hz±5%. For output, the upper limits of the allowable range are often specified, such as 1500W or less or 15A or less. The rating is an important factor in selecting an appropriate power supply to connect to a load, and it is usually determined based on the rated input of the load.
