Rating
In power equipment, this refers to the range of input or output conditions under which normal operation can continue without failure. For input, allowable ranges are often defined around specified values, such as a rated input voltage of 100V±10% or a rated input frequency of 50Hz±5%. For output, upper limits are often specified, such as 1500W or 15A or less. The rated value is an important factor in selecting appropriate power equipment for connecting a load, and is usually determined based on the rated input of the load.
