Rating
In power equipment, this refers to the input or output range that allows continued normal operation without failure. For input, permissible ranges are often defined around specified values, such as a rated input voltage of 100V±10% or a rated input frequency of 50Hz±5%. For output, upper limits of the permissible range are often specified, such as up to 1500W or 15A. The rated value is an important factor in selecting appropriate power equipment for connecting loads, and it is usually determined based on the rated input of the load.
