Redundant operation

Redundant operation (backup operation) refers to connecting power supplies or DC/DC Converters for Industrial & Embedded in parallel and operating them with a backup power source so that even if one unit fails, the other units continue to supply power to the load. Generally, a backup power supply with the same rating as the main power supply is used. This mode is used in systems where a single failure cannot be tolerated.
