Redundant operation

Redundant operation (backup operation) refers to connecting a backup power source in parallel with a power supply or DC/DC Converters for Industrial & Embedded, so that even if one fails, the other devices continue to supply power to the load. It is common to use a backup power source with the same rating as the main power supply. This mode is used in systems where single-point failures are not tolerated.
