Series operation

A method of operating by connecting two or more power devices in series to increase the voltage applied to the load. The total voltage of the connected power devices is applied to the load. If the voltage applied to the load is AC, the output waveforms of the connected power devices must be similar and in phase. If the waveforms are not similar or the phases do not match, abnormal current may flow in the power circuit, causing a malfunction.
