Series operation

A method of operating two or more power supply devices connected in series to increase the voltage applied to the load. The voltage applied to the load is the sum of the voltages of the connected power supply devices. When the voltage applied to the load is AC, the output waveforms of the connected power supply devices must be similar and their phases must match. If the output waveforms are not similar or the phases do not match, abnormal current may flow through the power supply circuit, causing failure.
