About the Japan Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment (VCCI). With the development of the electronics industry, the predecessor organization, the Voluntary Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment, was established in 1985 by four related industry groups with the aim of establishing and operating voluntary regulatory measures to suppress electromagnetic interference generated by electrical and electronic equipment. It became a general incorporated foundation in 2009 and continues to this day. Its purpose is to operate voluntary regulatory measures by members against electromagnetic interference that can affect other electrical, electronic, and communication equipment.
