What is IoMT?
IoMT stands for "Internet of Medical Things," a concept that connects medical devices and healthcare applications via the internet, enabling real-time data collection and analysis.
In the future, IoMT is expected to evolve further and fundamentally transform the medical model. Enhanced device-to-device compatibility and real-time information handling will help establish more accurate and efficient medical care.
Treatment using IoMT is based on personalized data and metrics gathered through postoperative monitoring by devices and chronic disease tracking. Additionally, it enables smart room support tools and emergency alert systems,
making it possible to provide a higher standard of care.
What are IoMT devices?
IoMT devices generally refer to a range of home medical devices, smart wearable devices, point-of-care testing equipment, and mobile healthcare devices. Using these, medical professionals and patients can connect remotely, allowing not only general health management but also disease prevention and remote intervention in emergencies.
The AC/DC Power Adapters — Desktop & Wall-Mount used in IoMT devices must comply with the EMC standard IEC60601-1-2 Ed 4:2014 test.. The FDA & European Union recognizes the 4th edition. As of December 31, 2018, EN 60601-1-2:2007 (Ed.3) was withdrawn as a harmonized standard.
Unifive's medical AC/DC Power Adapters — Desktop & Wall-Mount, including the UM series that comply with IEC60601, are available in 6W, 8W, 12W, 15W, 18W, 24W, and 36W. This series supports AC input: 100-240V and is ideal for the following types of IoMT devices:
