Safety standards information: Notice regarding QR codes from BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).
In India, a policy called Digital India is being promoted and digital transformation is progressing, and recently BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) issued a notification regarding QR codes.

Notice from the BIS India Certification Authority
According to BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), as of 2019/1/8, for certificate issuance related to Fresh, Inclusion, and Renewal applications, paper-based certificates bearing the auditor's signature will be discontinued, and QR codes will be used instead, as announced.
A QR code will be placed on the upper right side of the certificate (see example below). By scanning it with a mobile phone or other scanner, the certificate information can be accessed.
