Safety standard information: Notice regarding QR codes from BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).
In India, a policy called Digital India is being promoted and digital transformation is progressing, and recently, there was an announcement from BIS (Bureau of Indian Standard) regarding QR codes.

Notice from the BIS India Certification Association
According to BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), as of 2019/1/8, there has been an announcement that for Fresh, Inclusion, and Renewal application cases, paper-based certificates with the examiner's signature will no longer be issued. Instead, QR codes will be used.
A QR code will be displayed on the upper right side of the certificate (see the example below). When scanned with a mobile phone or other scanner, the certificate information will be displayed.
