Additional Compliance with Taiwan RoHS for Taiwan BSMI Certification
An official announcement was made on April 10, 2017, regarding the addition of Taiwan RoHS requirements to Taiwan BSMI certification, scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2018. Going forward, Products subject to Taiwan BSMI certification will require either a new application (acquisition of certification under the new applicable standards) or an update to the product classification number field on existing certificates. Taiwan RoHS-related documentation must also be included when submitting new or renewal applications.
(1) Changes to the Taiwan BSMI Certification Mark Label (Addition of RoHS)
Labeling will be mandatory for models updated to comply with Taiwan RoHS.
* The "RoHS" indication on the label makes it possible to identify that the product has been updated to comply with Taiwan RoHS.
