[Update on DOE VI registration information on the US Department of Energy website].

◆From recent
Since around March this year, we have received many at our company regarding the absence of previously registered DOE VI information on the US Department of Energy website.

◆Registration information must be updated annually
Since the US Department of Energy (DOE) issued a revised version of the EISA 2007 External Power Supply (EPS) energy efficiency standard on February 10, 2014 (effective February 10, 2016), it has been common for power supply manufacturers to apply for initial registration on behalf of their customers via the DOE website after completing the data report for the power supply.

During the annual organization of registration information around September 30, the DOE appears to automatically delete data that has been registered for more than one year from the website. In addition, according to the US federal safety standards (10 CFR 430), when products are imported into the US, if they are subject to spot inspections by US customs or the DOE (Department of Energy), it is also checked whether the registration information is up to date on the website. Therefore, we recommend that registration be updated within the update period on the website so that the registration period does not exceed one year.
