At Unifive, our products are made to order, and we can support semi-custom production for each project and model. Therefore, we do our best to accommodate such requests. Company A considered product design their top priority. We informed them of the internal PCB requirements and spacing needed to meet safety standards. The customer then designed the enclosure, outer shell, and a unique DC plug grip to prevent incorrect insertion. We collaborated throughout the product development process.

In this case, the customer covered the cost of mold creation, safety compliance evaluation, and design development for the outer shell, DC plug grip, and any other molded components. As a result, they were able to offer a truly one-of-a-kind AC/DC Power Adapters — Desktop & Wall-Mount product bundled with their equipment, leading to high customer satisfaction.

Case 2: Want color variations of the AC/DC Power Adapters — Desktop & Wall-Mount

A home appliance manufacturer requested a white version of the AC/DC Power Adapters — Desktop & Wall-Mount to match their products. They also asked if we could offer gray as a second option. By adjusting the color additives mixed in the housing resin, we maintained the flame-retardant grade while achieving the desired color. The same approach was used for the DC cords—flame retardants were left unchanged, and only the color additives were modified, allowing us to offer two color variations while retaining flame resistance.

Case 3: Want to customize the product packaging (individual wrapping) design

Various companies sell 12V and 24V AC/DC Power Adapters — Desktop & Wall-Mount for portable charging at major electronics stores. One of these companies consulted us, explaining that to sell at such retailers, they needed to change the retail packaging of their adapters. (Blister packs and backing cards are crucial in influencing consumer purchasing decisions for such products.)

The customer designed the blister and paper insert (the plastic case and its internal insert). We created new molds for the insert and the plastic packaging and handled the production accordingly.

As a result, the customer was able to launch the product in the market with their desired packaging design, leading to great satisfaction on their end.
