ENERGY STAR
Energy Star is an environmental labeling system for energy-saving products related to external power supplies. Energy Star adopts the same limits as defined by the California Energy Commission (CEC), and in Japan, it was implemented under the agreement between the Japanese and U.S. governments starting in October 1995. As part of the international Energy Star partnership, member countries, including Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Taiwan, and the European Union, adopted this system. (In 2010, the system was ended for external power supplies and transitioned to DoE and ErP standards)
