Crimping

A method of joining two parts by utilizing their interlocking uneven shapes without using welding or adhesives. Compared to welding or adhesives, it has advantages such as not requiring heat, making it usable with painted metal, and allowing joining between different materials. Types of caulking include lock seaming, seaming, roll caulking, spot caulking, and corner caulking. Double-sided caulking is also one type, with bolts and nuts being widely known examples.
