Noise terminal voltage
Harmonic noise voltage generated at the power input terminals, such as commercial outlets, when using electrical and electronic equipment. The noise terminal voltage propagates to the power supply side as noise and adversely affects other loads, so it must be suppressed below the specified standard value. When attempting to measure the noise terminal voltage directly, errors occur due to the impedance of the power supply side circuit, making accurate measurement difficult. Therefore, in order to eliminate measurement errors caused by the impedance and to obtain accurate measurements, a pseudo power supply network is connected between the commercial outlet and the electrical or electronic equipment for measurement.
